World War 2: How it changed the world.

The second world war was one of the most significant events in modern history. The war saw a destruction of lives and property like never before.

The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the attach on Pearl Harbor, the massacre and torture of millions of innocent Jews under Hitler’s regime were all events that suggested to the world that if there ever was to be another World War, the advances in technology and weapons of mass destruction, it would be the world’s last.

Started by Hitler’s invasion of Poland in 1939, the war lasted six years, finally ending in 1945 with the defeat of the German forces and by the Allies which comprised the United States, the Soviet Union and The United Kingdom.
